PD lobbying, Celibashi clarifies: PD has no obligation to file documents

The Head of the Central Election Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi, was asked by journalists regarding the Democratic Party's lobbying contract in the US.

Celibashi has stated that the DP has no obligation to file documents with the CEC until 60 days after the announcement of the election results.

He also emphasized that the CEC currently has no obligation to request this contract from the DP.

"Parties are obliged to file the income report on March 31 of the following year, entities are obliged to file no later than 60 days after the announcement of the election results, the obligation for electoral entities to file any document ends 60 days after the announcement of the results, there is no obligation to file documents showing their income and expenses, we do not have this contract and to request it from the DP at this moment, 60 days after the final announcement of the elections, the moment we have it we will give our assessment, we have nothing more to say," said Celibashi.
