Albanian arrested in Italy for transporting 10 kg of cocaine

An Albanian has been arrested in Mignano Monte Lungo, Italy, after being caught transporting around 10 kilograms of cocaine.

The incident occurred when the Cassino Police stopped a Fiat Panda car after its driver, noticing the presence of the patrol, made suspicious movements to join the convoy of heavy vehicles.

After noticing the driver's nervousness and some irregularities in the plastic door panels of the car, the officers decided to conduct a detailed check. Inside the door panels, 10 packages of cocaine were discovered, weighing a total of about 10 kilograms.

The driver was arrested on the spot and taken to the Cassino prison. The court ordered his detention as a security measure, while investigations revealed that from this quantity of narcotic substance over 53,000 doses could be prepared for sale. The total market value of the drugs is estimated at 1.6 to 2.1 million euros.

Italian authorities described this as a significant blow to drug trafficking networks and stressed their commitment to combating this phenomenon. The Cassino Highway Police were praised for their professionalism and efficiency in this operation.
