EPP Congress, bilateral meeting between Berisha and the Prime Minister of RMV,

During the EPP Congress, a bilateral meeting was held between the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Mr. Hristijan Mickoski, his government cabinet and the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, accompanied by the delegation.

The discussions focused on the close cooperation between the two sister parties, the importance of consolidating common conservative values, and the challenges that the European integration process poses for our region. The parties shared common views on the need to strengthen political coordination and mutual support.

Prime Minister Mickoski congratulated Berisha and the Democratic Party for a positive outcome in the May 11 elections, offering his heartfelt congratulations as well as concrete support in the form of electoral expertise. He stressed the importance of a clear stance close to the alliance with the Trump administration and advised maintaining a strong conservative line. With the hope that after May 11, we will cooperate as two right-wing governments that share not only borders but much more.

Mr. Mickoski also shared his experience in confronting and defeating the influence of Open Society-funded organizations in North Macedonia, noting that after his party’s electoral victory, projects such as the legalization and licensing of cannabis have been blocked. He noted the importance of staying true to conservative values ​​to protect national and family principles in both countries.

The meeting took place in a spirit of friendship, mutual respect, and commitment to deepening inter-party and regional relations.
