Berisha from Valencia: Rama's time is over, the opposition's voice is

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during an interview given to SYRI TV from Valencia, where he is attending the Electoral Congress of the European People's Party, stated that Edi Rama's time is over.

Leader of the Democratic Party Berisha emphasized during his interview that now the voice of the Albanian opposition is heard strongly in the most important chancelleries of Europe and the USA.

Interview with the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha:

SYRI TV: In addition to the speech you gave at the EPP Summit, where the focus was also on informal meetings and what the DP achieves, with this speech today, a strong speech given by you.

Sali Berisha: Speaking to an audience of over 2,000 dignitaries, top-level officials and leaders of center-right political parties here has, I think, a very special importance for presenting the situation in Europe's first and only narco-state, which is Albania.

The arguments I presented, the facts were received, as you saw, with ovations and with special interest. Dozens, dozens of well-known friends, but also unknown personalities congratulated me for the presentation I made of the situation and of course the guarantee I presented that the political force that overthrew the most Stalinist dictatorship in Europe, will also overthrow the first and only narco-dictatorship in Europe, with the help of the European People's Party.

Here I met prime ministers, party leaders, old friends, acquaintances, and of course the comments on my speech were very supportive and very impressive, from each of them who had listened.

I had the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Mitsotakis briefly and talked with him on foot about the situation, but also other old, valuable friends. In a word, I consider that in this assembly, the most important that meets in Europe, we became the advocate of the just causes of the Albanian opposition. This was my goal and we have very great support.

SYRI TV: When you say support, Mr. Berisha, do you also mean support for the electoral process on May 11?

Sali Berisha: Unquestionably, both for the electoral process and for the developments after the electoral process, once the opposition is in government after May 11, it will be the main locomotive of the country's integration into the EU. I gave full guarantees that the Democratic Party and the opposition forces have the main goal of replacing the narco-state with the rule of law, the drug economy with a free market and functional economy, and to meet all the conditions, the social criteria necessary for Albania to progress towards the EU.

So, a brief roadmap of the ruling opposition.

SYRI TV: You are holding several intensive meetings in Albania, looking at the electoral campaign. With these meetings today, with this speech, it can be considered complete as far as Sali Berisha's foreign relations are concerned, for this campaign before the parliamentary elections are concerned.

Sali Berisha: With this meeting, I think, a new level of support and strong support was reached, awareness for the situation in Albania and for all the opposition people. With this meeting, a public autopsy of Edi Rama's drug empire was also performed. So I call it a stroke of luck that this largest congress taking place in Europe happened precisely during this period and I am confident that it was a real contribution to the victory of the opposition.

SYRI TV: The DP has already regulated the channels of communication with the European People's Parties and the parties that adhere to them, as regards the information that has reached you over the years, as you have previously denounced that, outside of Albania, internationals are misinformed by Edi Rama.

Sali Berisha: That time is over. Now the voice of the opposition is resounding strongly in all the major chancelleries of Europe, but in fact also in the United States. Let's tell the truth.

SYRI TV: In what sense does Mr. Berisha have an interest in the USA?

Sali Berisha: In the sense that today the opposition has as its advocate the most powerful current US lawyer, and this has terrified Edi Rama and his vassals, I would say, his megaphones, who do not know what they are talking about in a contract that aims not only to support today's causes, but also those of the DP government and the opposition.

I understand that they are very right to be concerned. I have said many things during the campaign, and those who have tried to trample on the will of Albanians, their free vote, will look down on them. Those who have used power for enrichment, etc.

So, the opposition is on a full, total, frontal attack.

SYRI TV: You are back in the CDU, you are back in the opposition, where Sali Berisha is back in the next station, so what is the next comeback? You are back in the PPE again.

Sali Berisha: Now the return to the EPP marks the final return, I would say, in the sense that two days ago you saw that the powerful delegation of the International Democratic Center arrived in Albania, with its vice-presidents, with the executive secretary who expressed full solidarity with the DP.

I think that's interesting. We say there it started, there it ended, now we have to say there it ended, there it started. So, in Spain I participated in the last EPP congress, and the time has now brought me back strongly with another start in the European People's Party.
