Aleks Marku was arrested by the RENEA forces after terrorizing his two minor children, 6 and 11 years old, holding them hostage in the apartment and shooting outside with a Kalashnikov.
The 40-year-old is suspected to have been under the influence of narcotics at the time of the incident. Mark had conflicts with his wife, as the latter was granted a protection order.
The RENEA forces tried to convince the 40-year-old to surrender, but he kept shooting from the window of the apartment.
After several hours of negotiations, the police arrested Mark and released the two children who are receiving assistance from psychologists.
