OSCE burns Hasan / How the Foreign Minister lied about the candidacy of the

Albania nominated Foreign Minister Igli Hasan for the position of Secretary General of the OSCE. This fact was made known to the public only on Monday by Prime Minister Edi Rama, during the annual meeting with the group of ambassadors.

Ahead of the result, which he knows very well, Edi Rama as a skilled manipulator of public opinion spoke for a majority of countries in support of Albania's candidacy. But the devil is always in the details.

Diplomatic sources told Kapital that in a meeting that the OSCE ambassadors held yesterday in Vienna, Igli Hasan's candidacy was rejected by several important member countries in the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. These countries have asked to find another candidate for this position.

But unlike the Prime Minister, in a communication with the media, Minister Hasani, when asked about this issue, described the negotiations as very delicate.
"It is a negotiation that does not end with a vote, but with full consensus. So let me stop putting pressure on my colleagues who are negotiating and hope that the result is the best for the organization, not for the individual," said Hasani.

To be clear, the OSCE elects the heads of its four institutions by consensus. So for a presented candidacy, there should be no opposition from any country as it is a matter of political, geographical and gender balance.

Despite the stale propaganda of the government, which wants to present itself to Albanians as the center of the world, Capital has learned that the opposition to the Albanian candidacy has been officially presented by several countries, which means that the candidacy of Igli Hasan for the OSCE General Secretary has finally been burned and along with it, the delirium of his boss, Edi Rama, who repeatedly repeated to the Albanians how important Albania has become today in the international arena.

In fact, even Igli Hasani himself affirms that the negotiations must end successfully. But what the Foreign Minister hides from the Albanians is the fact that his candidacy has already been burned after it was officially opposed by several countries with weight in the organization.

There is nothing wrong with accepting the truth and telling the Albanians that we tried, we spent money on lobbying and the state function, but we could not succeed. Truth honors more than the deception of public opinion through sophistry.

Moreover, the latter can no longer save either Hasan's candidacy or Rama's delirium, who tells Albanians tales of Albania as an important player in the international arena./ Kapitali.al
