Italian MP Erica Mazzetti has reacted after meeting with DP leader Sali Berisha in Tirana. 

The representative of the party of former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi said that "I have been following the incident with former Albanian President Sali Berisha in recent months. Berisha should be recognized for his ability to bring Albania out of one of the most difficult periods in its history, making it a free country."

"After house arrest, without any punishment," as Forza Italia reported several times, Berisha has finally returned to freedom and I had the honor of meeting him in Tirana," declared Erica Mazzetti, Deputy of Forza Italia and national manager of the FI public affairs department.

"We met each other for the cooperation between our two countries, friends for a long time, and I had to say - emphasizes Mazzetti - how rooted and important the Albanian community is in Italy, made up of people who from nothing have built a life for themselves with work, hardworking and integrated people, in respect of our values."
