This investment was made by the Albanian community in Bologna, represented by the Albanian-Arberesh association "Korabi". The important investment, both in material value, but above all in the precious symbolic value, comes as a sign of gratitude of the Albanians who live in this capital of the neighboring country, to the early and continuous contribution that the Catholic Church of Bologna gave to the Albanians who landed in the south of Italy, after the fall of the wall of the dictatorship. At Villa Pallavicini, thousands of people in need find support, among them many Albanians.

The road, reconstructed thanks to the investment of the Korabi association, has drawn on it, the two-headed eagle, the portraits of emblematic figures of Albanians such as Skënderbeu and Mother Teresa, or even of the Albanian Cardinal, Ernest Troshani, the view of the ship Vlora, as a memorial of the suffering of the Albanians , but also of the hospitality of the neighbors on the other side of the Adriatic.
The leader of the association Korabi Astrit Poti, on behalf of the Albanian community after the 90s and that of Arbëre, spoke about the importance of Italian-Albanian relations and the hospitality that has been given to immigrants in these 3 decades, while Italian officials appreciated the integration of Albanians in almost every level of representation.

In the ceremony organized by the leaders of the foundation Don Massimo Vacchetti and compatriot Armando Stafa, the Italian Vice Minister of Infrastructure, Galeazzo Bignami, the president of the Emilia Romagna region, Stefano Bonaccini, the Archbishop of Bologna and the president of the Bishops' Conference of Italy, Cardinal Zuppi, took part. , the representative of the Bologna City Council, other local and military officials. This first ceremony, organized not only in Bologna, but also in Italy, had a great echo in the Italian media, which reflected this activity that fosters very good relations between the two peoples and the two countries.
