Belgrade Press: Thaçi to Call for Annexation of Serbia’s Three Southern Municipalities

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci is hinting that, during talks in Paris in July, he would promote his idea of annexing to Kosovo the three South Serbia municipalities where Albanian reside, Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, all the media reported on Wednesday.

He said that this would mean “rectifying historical injustice” and said that the “border needs to be adjusted” and that it would not affect a single centimeter of Kosovo’s territory.

Vecernje Novosti reports that political leaders in Pristina and in Tirana are devising a strategy ahead of the meeting with the Belgrade delegation, scheduled for July 1 in Paris and hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron.

Thaci discussed on Tuesday Pristina’s preparations for the summit in Paris with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, while Albanian President Ilir Meta and the Kosovo Premier also discussed the relations between Belgrade and Pristina and the “border issue between Serbia and Kosovo”.
