JD Vance sworn in as Vice President of the United States

JD Vance has been sworn in as Vice President of the United States on Capitol Hill in Washington. Vance will serve as the deputy to Donald Trump, who will be the 47th president of the United States.

“I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will take this oath freely, without any mental reservation or design of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully execute the duties of the office into which I shall enter. So help me God,” Vance said in his oath.

The Trump and Vance duo secured their next term at the head of the White House after winning the presidential election against Democrats led by candidate Kamala Harris, Vance's predecessor in the new position.
