LREM members voted for the new statutes of the presidential party as well as its leadership, by Stéphane Séjourné. The presidential party was created with a new name and leader. The new name of La République en Marche was given during a congress at the Carrousel du Louvre, after the approval by the members of the new statutes and the new direction, led by Stéphane Séjourné.

Activists approved 83% of the new leadership, 87% of the new party statutes and 96% of the body of values drafted in late August. About 25,000 to 26,000 "certified" members were called to vote. The party has not announced the number of members who participated in these three votes.
