Italian politician Carlo Calenda: George Soros has financed 1.5 million euros

Italian politician Carlo Calenda has stated that philanthropist George Soros has financed 1.5 million euros for an "anti-fascist rescue plan". According to Calenda, his former associates have benefited from Soros funds. Carlo Calenda gave these comments to the journalist Bruno Vespa.

"George Soros has given one and a half million euros to Europe" , Calenda declared, stressing that he did not benefit from these funds.

Calenda also conveyed a message to the leader of the Democratic Party, Enrico Letta.

 "I tell Leta that he cannot sign two contradictory pacts with "Action" and the Italian left. On the other hand, I know the reasons, not least the one that the financier George Soros has subsidized with one and a half million euros in Europe, making it an essential condition to become an anti-fascist "board", says the former minister.

According to official Della Vedova, funds were received from "several candidates from Europe", who "received a direct contribution from George Soros for the expenses of the electoral campaign".
