The famous series has made several predictions that resemble possible developments for the year 2025. From the end of the world and World War III to the zombie apocalypse, "The Simpsons" has shown a frightening "foresight" about events that could happen. Some of these predictions have been accurate in the past, adding to the suspicions that they could come true in the future.

But what awaits us in 2025 according to The Simpsons?

The End of the World
In an episode of The Simpsons, Homer thinks the end of the world is coming and starts warning people. He makes some chilling observations like “stars falling from the sky” and “the end is near.” However, while it seems nonsensical at first, some of what Homer says starts to ring true.

As the threat grows, Homer ascends to heaven and begs the god to let his family live. After a heated argument, the god agrees and averts the danger.

World War III
This prediction from The Simpsons dates back to 1987 when a short film from the series first aired. In this segment, Homer drills by informing the family that World War III has begun, while forcing them all to rush to the shelter to escape the bombs. Also, Bart wakes Homer up and tells him that the world is ending. After they go to the bomb shelter, Bart locks Homer up and leaves him there until morning, so that he can let the family rest.

Zombie Apocalypse
In what may be the most far-fetched prediction yet – The Simpsons may have predicted a zombie apocalypse in our future. In a Halloween-themed episode in 2009, Springfield is hit by a zombie outbreak. It's caused by a hamburger made with meat from cattle that have eaten other cattle. Eating these hamburgers turns people into zombies and after 28 days, the town is overrun by them. It turns out that Bart is immune to the virus. This leads people to believe that eating Bart will save them.

Of course, it's possible that none of these predictions will come true, but The Simpsons accurately predicted a Trump presidency back in 2000...so, anything is possible.
