Bardhi reacts after the Constitutional Court's decision on the committees: Proof of political pressure, 'McGonigal' is Rama's funeral

Bardhi reacts after the Constitutional Court's decision on the committees:

The head of the Democratic Party parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted after the Constitutional Court's decision on the opposition's two requests on the Parliamentary Investigative Committees.

In a reaction, Bardhi described the decision as politically motivated, as the Court accepted the request for the establishment of an investigative commission for the parliamentary elections of May 11, 2025, but rejected the request for an investigative commission on the "McGonigal" case.

According to him, the refusal to hold a parliamentary investigation into the "McGonigal" affair shows political pressure on the Constitutional Court.

Reaction:

1 yes, 1 no, it's politics, not constitutional justice!

Today's decision of the Constitutional Court accepting the request to establish a Parliamentary Investigative Committee for the parliamentary elections of May 11, 2025, while rejecting the request to establish a Parliamentary Investigative Committee for the McGonigal corruption affair, is blatant evidence of political pressure on this Court.

How can it be said that the request lacked the evidence to consider it a separate case, while it is based on 7 official documents of American justice, international arbitration and Albanian justice, only a court under political pressure can say. Especially since this is decided 4 to 4, and for this reason it is dismissed without a decision, just like Edi Rama's other personal affair regarding the 'Beçhetti' case.

But despite this, I 'understand' the Constitutional Court regarding today's decision. After all, the 'McGonigal' affair is the political funeral of Edi Rama and our Constitutional Court could never have the professional courage to organize it, just like their colleagues in the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime who have been shelved criminal proceedings no. 22, of 2023, for 3.5 years.
