Berisha: Rama refuses to extend registration for the diaspora, this proves their

Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of an abuse of justice and a serious violation of the Constitution.

In a statement to the media from headquarters, Berisha emphasized that this action is evidence of the fear and terror that has gripped Rama and his party over the possibility of a free vote for Albanians abroad.

He also accused Rama's representatives on the Central Election Commission of direct violations of the Constitution, excluding hundreds of thousands of Albanians in the diaspora from voting.

Berisha appealed for a mass registration of Albanians, as an act of punishment against those who, according to him, are afraid of their vote.

BERISHA'S WORD:

Edi Rama personally, in the year of the diaspora, ordered his representatives at the CEC to reject the proposal of the DP representatives to extend the registration of diaspora members to participate in the May 11 elections until at least the 9th.

The categorical refusal of Edi Rama and his representative, Damian Gjiknuri, proves the fear and terror that has gripped them and their criminal party from the free vote of Albanians abroad.

This refusal is a major violation of the country's Constitution.

This refusal is the exclusion from the right to vote of, at least according to official figures, 500 thousand, but other figures speak of 800 thousand Albanians abroad, who had expired documents.

Not including hundreds of thousands of others who do not have documents issued in Albania, but have regular official biometric documents issued in the countries where they live.

With this decision, Edi Rama signs his historical shame.

With this decision, he proves that he is hopeless in the May 11 elections.

I take this opportunity to call on all Albanians to use these remaining hours for their mass registration, also in an act of punishment for the person who has a terrible phobia of their vote.

Meanwhile, the last call is for his representatives in the CEC regulatory body to oppose Edi Rama's decision, to vote with the opposition representatives, because in this way they will rise to the height of the country's Constitution and will not become mercenaries to completely exclude over 500 thousand Albanians from the right to vote.

This is an unprecedented act in electoral history, and therefore the debate is taking place in the regulatory body of the CEC. I invite the representatives of the SP to show themselves to be true socialists and not representatives of Edi Rama's criminal party that is afraid and terrified of the Albanian vote.
