Gjekmarkaj in Kurbin: This area comes together without distinction to bring change to Albania

The political leader of the Democratic Party for the Lezha region, Agron Gjekmarkaj, was at an electoral meeting in Kurbin, just a short time away from the parliamentary elections of May 11, 2025.

Gjekmarkaj told the Kurbinas that the ruling government is crumbling, while adding that the DP is sticking to its commitments for pensions of no less than 200 euros, a living wage of 200 euros, a minimum wage of 500 euros, and an average wage of 1,200 euros.

In about 12 years of Rilindja's rule, thousands of residents of the villages of Skuraj, Vinjollë, Shkopet and Gallatë have been left to their fate. No serious minimum investment from the Municipality of Kurbin, which has been publicly accused of being involved in corruption, and zero investment from the outgoing Government.

It is unacceptable that a government that has seized all other governments by the throat can be so indifferent and soulless to the difficulties and impossibilities of living of these residents who challenge injustice to keep their areas alive.

The lack of connecting bridges has endangered the lives of the residents so much that it has not worried the responsible authorities at all. They have shown and are still showing the same irresponsibility by completely neglecting the road infrastructure, the electricity supply system, the health and education systems. In addition to the damaged schools, teachers and the state administration are under political pressure to barely keep a government afloat that will crumble at any cost.

If the money that was used for the marble sarcophagus and the luxury of the Kurbin Municipality with anti-stress equipment were used for these areas, life there would be better.

The Kurbin Highlands, like any other highland in which men are bound by word and faith for an honest, peaceful and developmental Albania, will join the just cause of the DP, to overthrow the autocratic power of Edi Rama and return power to the sovereign himself.
