Xhaferri: LaCivita encouraged his opponent to come up with an electoral program

The head of the Democratic Party Youth Forum, as well as a candidate on the DP list for the May 11 elections in Tirana, Besart Xhaferri spoke about the influence of American advisor Chris LaCivita on the campaign.

Invited to the "Open" show on News24, Xhaferri underlined that the DP has built its entire electoral campaign around essential issues such as the economy, family and institutional normality - an approach that he directly links to the influence of LaCivita, a strategist for US President Donald Trump's campaign.

"Just like in Trump's campaign, where success was linked to the return to economic and family values, the DP has focused its program in this direction. LaCivita is an important part of this orientation," said Xhaferri.

He also stressed that LaCivita's presence has had a noticeable effect on the political opponent, the SP. "For the first time since 2013, our opponent has come out with a program, which shows the real impact of the new spirit that the DP has brought to this race," Xhaferri said.

According to him, the opposition is offering a real alternative for the future, emphasizing priorities that directly affect the lives of Albanian citizens.
