Standing among the protesters, the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said that the majority is violating the constitutional right of the deputies and is preventing the establishment of investigative commissions.

Berisha warned Prime Minister Edi Rama and the head of the parliamentary group of the SP Taulant Balla that they will bear personal responsibility for the decision expected to be taken by the Court on March 3 for the leadership of the Democratic Party.

The remaining Democrats in the chamber insisted on changing the agenda, demanding that the McGonigal scandal be the headline, but the Socialists overwhelmingly defeated their request.

They also blocked the floor again demanding the establishment of a commission of inquiry into the McGonigal affair.

Even the socialists were almost one step behind. The commission of inquiry that was rejected until the adoption of the new law, this time was treated as a still open request.

On the other hand, the leader of the Democratic Party, Berisha, said that if the Court's decision (on March 3) was not fair, he and the citizens would enter the Assembly for 3 minutes. With his statement, Berisha challenged the head of the parliamentary group of the SP, Taulant Balla, who said that after March 3 (the day of the trial), the DP will be different.
