Customs officers on strike, vehicles banned from crossing the border with Greece

The circulation of cars from Albania to Greece through three border points has been suspended for today, as customs officers will go on strike.

Vehicle traffic is prohibited from 07:00 in the morning until 23:00 in the evening. During this time frame, no vehicle will be allowed to cross from Albanian territory to Greek territory through three border points, Kakavija in Gjirokastër, Qafë Botës in Saranda and Tre uras in Përmet.

The Ioannina Border Police have clarified that during this period only pedestrians without luggage and emergency cases will be allowed.

Given this situation, the Border Police appeals to all citizens and drivers who have planned to travel to Greece to find other alternatives to travel and avoid gathering at the aforementioned border points.
