About two weeks ago, the show "Stop" broadcasted a sharp problem in Fier. A former drug user, who has been treated with methadone for several years, said that the toxicologist Endri Mandro, in Fier, does not give him the methadone that he is obliged to give him once a week.

According to the whistleblower, since the latter complained to the institutions, the doctor got angry and stopped giving him the necessary medication.

Through the hidden camera of our show, we proved that not only doctor Mandro, but also another toxicologist in Fier, issued prescriptions against bribes. The whistleblower said that doctor Mandro behaves arrogantly, grabbing him by the throat and cursing and threatening him.

To get methadone, a recommendation from doctor Lulzim Banushaj was needed, since our infiltrator was not registered. Doctor Banushaj gave him a prescription for a three-day supply, in exchange for 2000 lek, without visiting him at all. After our broadcast, the implicated doctors were arrested and imprisoned.

The show "Stop" returned to Fier again, as patients complain that they have been left without methadone, and cannot sleep or lead a normal life because of the pain.

Citizen 1: I'm in a lot of pain, I can't sit.

Journalist: Where did you feel the pain?

Citizen 1: I feel it on my back, I can't be beaten in one place.

Journalist: And what is the cause of your pain today?

Citizen 1: Here's to the methadone, brother, I haven't slept at all for three days.

Journalist: At the moment we are doing this recording, it is Tuesday, you from Fier, because you are from Fier, you should have it on Monday. Why didn't you take your methadone on Monday?

Citizen 1: Yes, they didn't give us more, brother, it wasn't...

Reporter: Was it closed?

Citizen 1: E.

Reporter: Before we did this interview, you told me that you were forced to use heroin again yesterday. Why?

Citizen 1: Yes, from this, from methadone.

Citizen 2: I had to pick it up yesterday, but when we came, there was no one. You don't even have anyone to complain to, until you're stuck at home in pain. What's wrong with you, jumping off the terrace without mocking. 9 hours have passed, you know how to avoid it. Two drops of methadone left (points to the canister), I pushed this hard.

Citizen 3: No sleep bro. You don't see it, I'm dying, I'm shaking.

Reporter: Are you shaking?

Citizen 3: I'm shaking.

After we could not find the new director Ervin Hoxha, we informed the Ministry of Health about this problem. After our intervention, the problem was solved and nurse Leonard Mucaj was temporarily ordered to do the immediate distribution of methadone.

Reporter: We are looking at you like sunlight now. So we will do the distribution, to give it to them as soon as possible and not waste time?

Leonard Mucaj: Yes, definitely, I will do the distribution now. As soon as possible.

Journalist: You will be permanent until...?

Leonard Mucaj: No, I am provisional until a second moment.

Reporter: Okay, hopefully we can help them now.
