Heavy rains overnight have caused flooding in several areas of the country. The situation is critical, forcing families to evacuate.

Rainfall has damaged the embankment of the Bistrica River in Çuka, flooding hundreds of hectares of agricultural land. The water has overflowed its banks, causing significant damage to farmers in the area.

The situation is also worsening in Konispol and Shala, where floods have created difficulties in movement and danger for homes near flooded areas.

6 villages in the Markat administrative unit in Saranda have been isolated, while access roads have been blocked by large floods and landslides.

Intense rainfall has caused major problems in the village of Kamenicë in Korça, where the stream has overflowed its bed. The poor quality of the escarpment has caused a section to break off and water to flow into homes.
