Recalling his time in Albania, former Ambassador Alexander A. Arvizu says that "there are so many memories to show but what I would single out is the nationwide celebration of the hundredth anniversary of Albania's independence in November 2012".
"We are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and Albania by posting messages from former US Ambassadors to the Albanian people," the US Embassy in Tirana wrote.
Alexander A. Arvizu presented his credentials to the Government of Albania on December 6, 2010 and was the eighth US Ambassador to Albania.
