A serious incident was recorded yesterday in Laknas, Tirana, where Maliq Marku killed one person with a firearm and wounded another.

In front of the police, the 70-year-old expressed regret for the murder, while saying that "everything happened very quickly".

"I went to explain myself, but Shefqet Hasa and Besnik Keqa insulted me," the elderly man declared.

How did the murder happen?

70-year-old Maliq Marku, originally from Dibra, reportedly shot 55-year-old Shefqet Hasa, leaving him dead on the spot.

The citizen Besim Keqa was also present at the scene, who received a bullet in his leg and immediately went to the Trauma Hospital.

The police went to the scene and inside his apartment the perpetrator of the crime, Malik Marku, was found waiting for them. He told the police that he killed them for his canal work, but without giving further explanations, while the head of the Kamza police station himself admitted in an appearance to the media that Mark was at home when the police went there.

He was handcuffed and the crime weapon was seized, which according to the police he was carrying without a permit.
