Fire in Sarajet of Tirana, Veliaj reacts: Intentional for the owners to stop the expropriation, to forget that there will be construction

The reaction of the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, comes after the building at Sarajet e Toptanëve in the center of Tirana was engulfed in flames at midnight.

In a twitter post, Veliaj described the event as intentional in order, according to him, for the owners to stop the expropriation.

"Last night at 23 49 the police of the municipality near AMK - yes, those who attacked the President - announced the operating room for arson near the Cultural Monument, widely known as Sarajet. In a few minutes, firefighters extinguished the deliberate fire in 2 fires.

In contrast to many objects for which there is unrelated noise such as Toys at the Lake or the TK sawdust building, the Sarajet building IS a cultural monument.

"Yesterday, in the style of Shkolla Kosova, an attempt was made to burn the building from the back window so that the owners could stop the expropriation", emphasizes Veliaj, who has published another moment when the suspected perpetrator leaves quickly.

" Security cameras have caught the arsonist as he leaves in front of Torre Drin, the State Police is working to handcuff him.

But the real arsonists are the orderers - even for them there will be no mercy. Politicians who worry about toys during the day and the city fire at night! ” , emphasizes the mayor.
