Her suspension from "The View" was announced in a statement published by the American network ABC News on Tuesday night, after Goldberg publicly apologized.

Variety reports that the decision to suspend Goldberg was made in consultation with top management levels at Disney, which owns ABC News.

Goldberg commented on the Holocaust in a discussion about the decision of a school board in Tennessee to ban the Pulitzer Prize-winning graphic novel The Mouse.
