Prince William has been involved in rumors related to a cheating affair. Following the release of the second trailer for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's documentary, people are wondering what exactly Buckingham Palace was lying about. " They were happy to lie to protect my brother," Harry says in the trailer, leading many to speculate that he may be talking about Prince William's extramarital affair. But who is the lady in question?

First of all, it is important to note that nothing here is confirmed or verified. The Prince of Wales was dubbed the "Prince of Pegging" after DeuxMoi published an anonymous post about a royal matter. It is important to note that DeuxMoi says: "this account does not claim that the information published is factual."

But anyway, there was an allegation about an unnamed royal family member, allegedly Prince William, having an extramarital affair. "This is so weird I'm almost too shocked to share it with you (but I'll share it anyway)," the post read. "The extramarital affair is an open secret in London among the English aristocratic set, and is the talk of every party and table."

So is Prince William having an affair?
The 'Deuxmoi' post is believed to be about Prince William for several reasons. This is as the heir to the throne has previously been romantically linked to Rose Hanbury, Marchioness of Cholmondeley, with reports of the affair surfacing for years.

Hanbury is (or was) a member of William and Kate Middleton's inner circle, and she and her husband live at Houghton Hall in Norfolk. Despite increased research into Prince William's affair, Buckingham Palace has not addressed the rumors and is unlikely to address the issue publicly.

Who is Rose Hanbury?
As previously stated, Rose Hanbury and Prince William move in the same circles, as Hanbury's grandmother - Lady Elizabeth Lambert - was Queen Elizabeth's bridesmaid. Hanbury has been invited to numerous royal events, including William and Kate's wedding in 2011, President Trump's state visit and most recently, Prince Philip's memorial service. It has also been rumored that Hanbury and Middleton were quite good friends, until Kate began to see Hanbury as her "rival."

Although Harry does not explicitly mention Hanbury, some have pointed out that the Duke of Sussex appears to be referring to the relationship rumours.

William and Hanbury's alleged relationship hit the headlines in March 2019, around the same time Meghan was pregnant with Archie, and faced harsh and racist headlines as a result.
