The French musical "Notre Dame de Paris" will be performed today at the "Air Albania" stadium in Tirana, starting at 19:00. Among an international troupe, the role of Esmeralda was entrusted to the well-known singer Elhaida Dani, who announced "an unforgettable night" in a press conference.

"Artistically playing the role and winning the auditions to play Esmeralda was a great achievement for me as an artist, while from the human side I lived it and when I was 19 years old I went to Italy and tried to live in a country where I didn't know the language and wanted to feel like others. But I still felt alien like Emeralda and I tried to create my own identity. Every time I try to revive this role on stage, I try to have the emotions that I experienced, but also from my relatives and compatriots."

The well-known Italian-French composer, Riccardo Cocciante, whose collaborations with Elhaida date back to when, under his direction, the artist from Shkodra won "The Voice of Italy" in 2013 as part of Team Cocciante, showed that "Notre Dame" should to come to Albania.

"This is a country that deserves it, a country that has lived with a difficult past before, with a fascist occupation as well and then with a dictator and now it's opening up. It's a country that maybe finally starts to live. I we said to ourselves that maybe it's the moment for "Notre Dame" to come to Albania. Elhaida has a fantastic voice, a fantastic voice amplitude and also feeling."

The musical "Notre Dame de Paris" bears the signature of Cocciante and Luc Plamondon. Elhaida was invited by both authors of the project to play the role of Esmeralda in the world famous musical, part of the Guinness Book of Records. Knowing wide ground in the world, the work has been translated into 7 languages.

"Notre-Dame de Paris" is based on the novel of the same title by the French novelist Victor Hugo. Since 2016, Elhaida Dani and "Notre Dame de Paris" have been traveling around the world presenting it to art lovers in France, Lebanon, Russia, Taiwan, Canada, etc.
