He was attacked by Serbs for the eagle symbol at Eurovision, Gjoni reacts

Gjon Muharremaj, the Albanian who represented Switzerland this year in "Eurovision" managed to come third in the final ranking - which with the votes of the jury was first - and his song is very popular.

One of the culminating moments of the final night (for us Albanians) was when he made the symbol of the eagle after Albania gave him 12 points.

This was not well received by the Serbs and the Serbian media attacked the Albanian with negative articles and comments.

John made the eagle when Albania gave him 12 points, and according to them this was a provocation, and even a scandal. With this gesture, he drew the anger of Serbs, writes the Croatian news portal "24sata". Meanwhile, people on social networks directed a lot of insults at the artist, demanding his disqualification.

After these attacks, John reacted by saying:

"I do not understand the concern. I just wanted to thank Albania. The double-headed eagle is a symbol of Albania. You have always stood behind me… you have always been proud of me. "I'm very happy about that and that was my way of thanking."

Gjoni has a father from Kosovo and a mother from Albania, from Tirana and he has proudly accepted his origin and has not felt hindered or prejudiced by the Swiss state.
