Turkey is the leader among the G20 countries in the growth of exports of

The Ministry of Trade of Turkey has announced that the country ranks first among the G20 countries in terms of the increase in exports of services in the second quarter of this year compared to the previous one, reports Anadolu.

The announcement of the Turkish ministry states that the statistical report of the Organization for Economic Development and Cooperation (OECD) for the second quarter of 2024 has been published.

The service sector occupies an important place in Turkey's economy due to the volume of exports.

"Turkey ranks 22nd in services exports with 101.7 billion dollars, (respectively) a share of 1.29 percent in world services exports," the Turkish ministry announced.

In the first six months of 2024, Turkey's services exports increased by 9.5 percent on an annual basis to reach $47.2 billion, while services imports increased by 11.8 percent compared to the same period of last year, reaching 23.1 billion dollars.
