Majko: Albanians get rid of the stupidities produced by politics
Minister for Diaspora, Pandeli Majko

The Minister for Diaspora, Pandeli Majko toughened the tones towards the opposition deputies during the interpellation in today's parliamentary session.

Referring to the phenomenon of Albanians leaving, Majko said that this decision comes "from the stupidities produced by politics."

"I was ready to participate in every committee meeting when I was invited for any kind of law or information. I believe it is a special case that especially for the state policy reform in the diaspora I have informed the parliament and the Assembly like no other minister with regular quarterly information and coming at the end of each year reporting in full.

Any MP has the right to request reliable information because today's interpellation was full of misinformation starting with a very simple fact.

What have you done with diaspora tenders? Sir, go and inquire at the Ministry of Finance, what is the state budget for the Ministry of Diaspora? They will say that the state ministers do not have a budget, but he comes here and puts in big money.

Open the legislation and see how things work, but come and say some generally pathetic things and avoid what was to be discussed in this interpellation, the right to vote for citizens abroad. People leave because they resent the government.

People leave for their own economic reasons. "The issue of immigration is a story which is not only about Albania, but if there is a reason why people are leaving in addition to the economy, it is the stupidity produced by politics, as happened today in this interpellation" , said Majko.
