The Head of the "Brain Gain" Department at the Democratic Party, Andi Mustafaj, commented on the candidate lists for the May 11 elections.

Although he received a significant number of votes in the primaries, Mustafaj is not on the closed list of the DP in Tirana, but he added that this decision was made after a long conversation he had with the leader of the DP, Sali Berisha.

He also focused on the SP list in the Tirana district, which he considers a loser compared to the DP list.

"We have an individual, personal-human journey and a political part that led to the decision where I am today. On the individual side, we must be very careful not to fall into the forms of pathos of the 'long live the party' or 'long live the party' type as we have seen. On the human side, it is a disappointment and a personal annoyance, because a person enters a race, hopes in this part of the closed list, that his contribution and victory will be recognized. And of course, when this is not achieved, a kind of personal disappointment is felt. When this kind of disappointment is felt, a person also looks in the mirror, in front of himself, how sincerely he has been committed over the years.

My absence from the closed list of the Democratic Party does not make Edi Rama better, but it does not make the DP list worse than the SP list. Therefore, one reevaluates, later in the general strategy of the political party, the DP, as if it were more useful, better and more effective according to one's own profile and character.

In this regard, we assessed, after a long conversation with the DP leader, Sali Berisha, that the conditions for my candidacy would not be better as long as I could find a position, a greater commitment to the campaign and other aspects.

"We will make the list the winner, of course. Have you seen Rama's list? Everyone has seen the Tirana list. A list of people with major criminal involvement, with Taulant Balla, who we all know that Mr. Berisha has brought before SPAK all the wiretaps that there are.
