"I train 4 hours a day", Meta reacts after the debate about his health

The leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has appeared in public for the first time since his arrest on October 21, 2024, immediately drawing attention to the noticeable change in his physical appearance.

Placed behind a glass cage at the GJKKO yesterday during the first court session involving his ex-wife, Monika Kryemadhi, Meta became the subject of public debate over the conditions of his detention and treatment.

In an interview with Top News, he directly responded to concerns about his condition, dismissing claims of deteriorating health or mistreatment.

" My physical, health and mental condition is better than ever, despite all the deprivations made public ," Meta says, emphasizing that he maintains a regular physical activity regimen even in detention conditions.

He also ironizes comments about his appearance, explaining that the weight loss is related to personal discipline and not to a lack of food: " If the suit was too big for me, it's not because they left me without food, but because of my physical activity, which takes me at least 4 hours a day."

Following his reaction, he sharply criticizes the way the judicial process is being conducted at the GJKKO, describing the use of the glass cage as a denigrating practice and contrary to European standards.

"My physical, health and mental condition is better than ever, despite all the deprivations made public.
Since July 2, 2025, when I was sentenced without an official decision, all restrictions continue today, except for the most insignificant thing, ping-pong, which was removed as a "sanction" a month ago.
