The Burgajet–Derjan–Macukull road, which was promoted by the Mat Municipality on May 6 as an investment that would transform the livelihoods of residents, has today become impassable.

The Mat Municipality published images and official information emphasizing that the road was "another promise kept," an investment that would make life easier for residents and bring more development to the area.

But as soon as winter comes, the situation changes radically: the newly paved segment could not withstand the first serious rainfall.

After the recent rainfall, according to video available to Politiko, a segment of it has suffered landslides, falling rocks, and damage that endangers the life of any person passing by.


The situation raises questions about the quality of the works and the supervision of the investment, while adding to the suspected corruption in public projects, it seems that Belinda Balluku has not only extorted the south but also the north.

The collapse of this road comes on a day when severe infrastructure problems due to the weather were reported almost throughout the country.

 Flooded roads, blocked underpasses and collapsed segments were recorded in several districts, from north to south, a picture that shows the vulnerability of public infrastructure to weather conditions.
