"Since the early hours of the 7th, I received a notification from the director of the hospital that we have an increasing flow of citizens, mainly from the area of Fushë alaj and Kastriot, respectively there are 8 villages, an area with 3-4 thousand inhabitants who have come with bowel problems and vomiting. On the first day, there were about 100 citizens who asked for help, mostly they received daily serums, the cases were not serious. 6 people have been hospitalized, of these 5 children, and one adult, but they have also returned home.

The day before and yesterday we contacted the hospital directorate, the health care that has family doctors, the directorate of water supply and sewerage and we dealt with the problem. Until this morning we have not had the results of the bacterial analysis. In terms of physical and chemical conditions, the water was clean and there were no problems in the physical and chemical analyses.

The water of the Sopanika canal, in these villages, not at the source, at the source it came out regular, it has a light microbial load, which means the water is currently unusable for drinking, and the results have shown that people have presented in the hospital. Yesterday, all day long, all the warehouses of these villages were cleaned and disinfected with chlorine", said Nexhbedin Shehu.
