Pamela Anderson's swimwear, which she and her "Baywatch" co-stars wore in the 1990s, is so iconic that Pantone has officially named it "Baywatch Red." So perhaps there was no better color than red for the 55-year-old star to wear to the premiere of Netflix's new documentary about her life, Pamela, a Love Story.

Channeling her popular character CJ Parker, Anderson arrived at the streaming giant's Tudum Theater in Los Angeles wearing a gown by designer Naeem Khan. The patterned dress may not have been the exact shade that Pantone immortalized to mark the series' 30th anniversary in 2019, but it still conjured up images of Parker patrolling the sunny beaches of LA, often in slow motion. Social media users seem to appreciate the pushback. Responding to Khan's label's Instagram post, Victoria's Secret model Tika Camaj described Anderson's premiere appearance as an iconic moment. Anderson's stylist, Rebecca Ramsey, meanwhile, wrote on Instagram after the premiere:

Part of Khan's Resort 2023 collection, the beaded dress sold for just under $6,000, making it more expensive than the original Baywatch swimsuit that sold for $4,920 at an auction in California in 2014. Anderson completed the look with earrings and a pair of red satin sandals designed by someone with a similar claim to the color red: Christian Louboutin.

The actress was joined by her sons Dylan and Brandon Lee, the latter of whom co-produced the Netflix documentary. Now out, Pamela, a Love Story chronicles Anderson's struggles with her widespread status as a sex symbol, as well as her troubled relationship with Tommy Lee and the infamous stolen porn film. Released alongside a new memoir, the documentary sees Anderson attempt to take control of the narrative for the first time.
