"Yes, being a refugee was the hardest part, but the music helped me a lot to deal with those feelings. I think the real challenge was that I felt like a stranger and that I did not have a place of belonging.

Yes, that was the hardest thing for me, but, as I have pointed out before, music helped me a lot to cope with those feelings. Whether listening or acting was my way of connecting with the world.

"This is the ultimate power of music: it allows us to connect with people we would not otherwise have, it gives us a sense of community and a sense that we are not alone on this planet."
