Accident in North Macedonia, two Albanian teenagers lose their lives

Two teenagers of Albanian origin lost their lives in a tragic accident near the village of Kolibar in Kicevo, North Macedonia.

Police said the incident occurred on the afternoon of August 21 on a local road in the village of Kolibari. A 15-year-old teenager, riding a motorcycle with Kërcovo license plates, lost control and went off the road. The 15-year-old and her minor passenger from the village of Greshnica, Kërcovo region, died from injuries sustained at the scene of the accident.

Eriona Ramadani and Albina Abazi were students at the "Drita" music high school. Through a reaction on social media, the school expressed its condolences to the girls' families and said that the event had shocked them beyond measure.

"With deep sorrow and shaken hearts, we received the news of the tragic loss of two of our beloved students, Eriona Ramadani and Albina Abazi. Their loss has deeply touched every corner of our school and has left an irreplaceable void," the school's response states.

The incident has shocked the Kicevo community, while local authorities are continuing investigations to clarify the circumstances of the tragic accident.
