Ziadin Sela has resigned from the position of the chairman of the Alliance for Albanians in North Macedonia. He said that the reason for his resignation is the results in the elections held on Saturday for the municipal council in Tetovo.

The Alliance for Albanians could not win a single councilor in the last elections, while in the previous composition of the municipal council there were three of them. In his statement, Sela stated that he takes responsibility for such a result, opening the race for the election of the new leader of the Alliance for Albanians party.

"From this moment I take responsibility and resign irrevocably as party leader. In the following period, the highest body of the party after the two Congresses and the Central Assembly should sit down and decide who will be the acting chairman of the party", stated Sela.
