New details have emerged from the assassination attempt on Thimjo Rubati, also known as "Sandri", who was injured on Friday evening in Saranda.

According to investigative sources, it is suspected that the perpetrators were riding a motorbike and were equipped with diving suits to conceal their identities. They followed the route from "Mithat Hoxha" Street and the stadium area, entering the port, where they opened fire on the 50-year-old man near his business.

It is learned that Rubati was shot with about 9 bullets from a 9 mm pistol. After the attack, the perpetrators quickly fled towards the beach area, in the direction of the Baba Rexhepi area.

Investigators suspect that after leaving the scene, the perpetrators may have used a speedboat to leave the area, and are suspected of taking with them the motorbike they used during the assassination.

After being wounded, Thimjo Rubati was conscious and was transported for medical assistance, but according to sources, he was unable to identify the perpetrators. The 50-year-old stated that he did not know the people who shot at him.
