Renowned expert reveals battle with anxiety: It seemed like a weakness to me, but today I see it as a strength

Renowned expert reveals battle with anxiety: It seemed like a weakness to me,

Denisa Kele, the renowned IT expert, has spoken openly about a difficult period in her life, revealing her years of dealing with panic attacks and her journey towards self-understanding.

She said that for a long time she had viewed anxiety as a weakness, something she had to hide from others.

"I had a very long, multi-year challenge with panic attacks, and at the time I didn't talk about it because it seemed like a huge weakness to me," Kele confessed in 'Pasvon'.

According to her, her perception changed after many years of reflection.

"Today, after many years, I can say with conviction that this is a characteristic of people who are strong. It is a characteristic of people who face emotion, they do not ignore it," she said.

Kela showed that unlike many people who try to avoid pain, she has chosen to experience it.

"I like to face the pain head on and I want to feel the pain in a given situation to the core. I give myself time to feel it, to experience it, to hurt," she said.

She indicated that psychological therapy has been an important part of this process.

"I really enjoyed the sessions with the psychologist. There were episodes that, if someone had told me about them before, would have seemed completely unimaginable," Kele confessed.

One of the strongest moments, according to her, was when a childhood memory came back to her during a session.

She revealed that she had discovered a writing she had done when she was only 8 years old, in a photo album.

"I prayed to God. 'I'm too small to hold such big things, please help me because you know very well how much I love everyone,'" Kele said.

According to her, that moment also made her reflect on her relationship with faith.

"I said, maybe this is a message for me to start recovering my relationship with God," she said.

Denisa Kele added that writing has been another way of confronting herself.

"When I write, I also discover truths about myself that I understand only as I write them. On every page, I bring a part of myself that I had not known before," she said.
