Berisha: DP completes reorganization of structures, renewal will continue

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, declared that the DP has concluded the process of constituting all of its leadership structures, describing this as an important moment for the party.

After the National Council meeting and the completion of the voting process, Berisha said that the reorganization was done in the spirit of renewal, which he described as the main motto of the DP National Assembly.

Asked if the Democratic Party is ready for the upcoming elections with the team being voted for, Berisha said that the new leadership formation is the strongest the party has ever had.

"With this today, it has a team that it has never had before. I guarantee that a team like this in competence and experience, in formation, is the top team of this party in all times and you can take this and examine it in turn. In this team that you have before you today, there are personalities who have publications at the highest world levels. Some of them are personalities with great experience in their field, in the political field, so I say that never in history has there been a team like this. There is a greater representation than ever of young people, and this is the directive of the Assembly, there is a representation of women, so there is an excellent proportion of all sensitivities, of all the potential of this party", said Berisha.

Regarding the criticism raised by some voices within the DP that the renewal process has not affected all leadership levels, Berisha said that every opinion is legitimate.

"These voices are normal, everyone has the right to express their opinion. But as you see, we vote with two candidacies, we vote secretly, and I say once again that the candidacies presented before the National Council are the most, I would say, incomparable in their qualities with the previously elected ones," said the leader of the DP.

Berisha said that the renewal process does not end with today's vote.

"Now, this is an ongoing process, but everything will be gradual. Everything will be done, the changes that will emerge, because we will await the results of the vote. But I say once again, that there is a profound renewal of the entire leadership, management, of the Democratic Party, unprecedented ," said the chief democrat.
