World Cup final, tickets reach staggering figures

The excitement for the 2026 World Cup final is being accompanied by strong controversy over ticket prices, which have reached record levels and are keeping many ordinary fans away from the stadium.

The clash, which will take place at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, has attracted immense interest, but the high cost of tickets has caused great dissatisfaction, especially among Spanish fans. According to data published by sales platforms, the cheapest ticket for the final costs over 4,400 euros, while the most exclusive seats are being offered for figures exceeding 188 thousand euros.

Extreme offers reaching up to 2 million euros have also been reported on the resale market, although there is no information whether these tickets were actually purchased.

The president of the Spanish Football Federation, Rafael Louzán, has also reacted to the situation, strongly criticizing the price increases. He stressed that many fans are facing unaffordable expenses, citing not only tickets, but also the high costs of travel and accommodation in the US.

According to him, watching the final has become a privilege for a limited number of people, while ordinary fans are finding it increasingly difficult to be with their team at one of the biggest sporting events in the world.

Reports indicate that FIFA had initially set several price categories for World Cup tickets, but the extraordinary demand for the final has led to a significant increase in their market, turning securing a ticket into a financial challenge for most fans.
