"Who went to Aruba?"/ DP MP asks for the names of politicians, Braho: The case is under investigation

"Who went to Aruba?"/ DP MP asks for the names of politicians, Braho:

Democratic Party MP Ivi Kaso has asked SPAK head Klodian Braho to make public the names of Albanian politicians who, according to investigative materials known as the "Aruba" file, are suspected of having participated in meetings where the use of Albania for money laundering was discussed.

During the report of the head of the Special Prosecution Office to the Parliamentary Committee, Kaso asked whether SPAK has the obligation to inform citizens who the politicians involved in this matter are, regardless of their political affiliation.

"Who are the Albanian politicians who were at the Aruba meeting? Did they have a governing mandate? Do you think the public deserves to know who these people are?" said the Democratic MP.

Kaso also referred to Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements on this file, claiming that the focus has shifted only to the issue of falsifying properties on the coast, while, according to him, no clarification has been given about the officials who may have participated in the aforementioned meetings and the potential beneficiaries.

In response, the head of SPAK did not provide details on the investigation, emphasizing that the case is still in progress.

"It is an issue under investigation, but it cannot happen in SPAK that there is evidence and it is left there dormant and not reacted to," Braho declared, without commenting further on the identity of the persons involved.
