Was there pressure from Rama on the Balluk issue? Braho-DP MP: No one is above

Democratic Party MP Elda Hoti has raised questions with SPAK leader Klodian Braho regarding the case of former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, demanding to know whether Prime Minister Edi Rama has intervened to delay action against her.

During the report of the head of the Special Prosecution Office to the Assembly, Hoti asked Braho whether Rama had influenced the postponement until September of the implementation of decisions related to the Balluku case.

"Has Prime Minister Edi Rama intervened to postpone the implementation of the law on the Balluku case until September?" asked the Democratic MP.

In response, the head of SPAK stated that evidence must be presented to the competent body for any claim of interference.

"Regarding Rama's intervention, if you have evidence, present it to the competent body. Everyone is equal before the law," Braho said.

The case against Balluk has been at the center of political debate following investigative developments by SPAK and the previous request for authorization from the Assembly regarding her immunity.
