The release of hundreds of prisoners under the amnesty has also revealed an unusual panorama of life in prisons. In addition to suitcases of clothes and personal belongings, some of the released have been seen leaving prisons with eye-catching equipment.

One young man left carrying a hookah and a toy sword in his hands. In another case, a released prisoner was filmed carrying several bags along with a small refrigerator, creating scenes that resembled a house move more than a prison release.

In total, 541 people benefited from the amnesty and left penitentiary institutions with the items they had in use during their stay in the cell.

There was no shortage of emotions outside the prison doors. Family members welcomed their loved ones amidst tears, hugs, and touching moments, while for many of those released this marked the beginning of a new chapter.
