Ronaldo: Cristiano can play in Arabia, but the World Cup is another level

Cristiano Ronaldo's performances at the 2026 World Cup continue to be at the center of debate. Recently, Brazilian legend Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, known as "The Phenomenon", has also given his opinion, believing that the Portuguese has reached the stage where his physical limits no longer correspond to his sporting ambitions.

In an interview with ESPN Brasil, the former Brazilian striker said that neither Cristiano Ronaldo nor Neymar can escape the laws of nature.

" Of course there comes a point when the body tells you that you can't go on anymore. I think Cristiano and Neymar have reached exactly this stage. The battle with the body is very difficult to win," said Ronaldo.
According to "The Phenomenon", the 39-year-old continues to have the qualities to compete in the Saudi championship, but the pace and level of a World Cup are completely different.

"I believe he still has the level to play in Saudi Arabia. But the World Cup is another story. The demands are much higher and the level of competition is completely different ," he said.
Ronaldo Nazario stressed that desire and passion for football are not always enough to prolong a career in the elite.

"As much as we love football and want to continue playing, in the end it is the body that decides. I also retired because my mind wanted to continue, but my body was no longer responding to me ," concluded the Brazilian legend.
