Two vehicles collide on the Lushnje-Fier highway, one injured

An accident was recorded this Thursday morning on the Lushnje-Fier highway, in the area known as the Driver's Rest intersection, causing one injury and heavy traffic.

According to preliminary information, a Volkswagen vehicle and a minivan were involved in the accident.

It is suspected that the driver of the Volkswagen vehicle entered the highway from the secondary road in the Driver's Rest area, towards Divjaka, while the minivan that was moving towards Fier failed to avoid the collision.

As a result of the accident, the driver of the Volkswagen was injured and transported by ambulance to Lushnja Hospital. According to preliminary sources, his life is out of danger.

Traffic Police services have arrived at the scene, and are conducting investigative actions to clarify the causes of the accident, while also managing traffic, as long lines of vehicles have formed in the lane towards Fier.
