Elected as vice president of the Democratic Party by the National Council, MP Belind Këlliçi has reacted with a message of thanks, describing the vote of confidence as a great responsibility.

In a Facebook post, Këlliçi thanked the members of the National Council for the trust they have placed in him and called for the unity of the democrats in the battle against Edi Rama's government.

He also shared a message of appreciation for Luciano Boci, saying that the competition between them for the position of vice president has only increased mutual respect. 

"I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart the members of the National Council of the Democratic Party for the trust they gave me, by electing me Vice-President of our political force!
With my friend Luçiano Boçi, we have shared many challenges and difficult moments together, especially in the last 5 years. One of them was the local electoral battle of 2023, when together we handed over our parliamentary mandates, to compete in Tirana and Elbasan, in unprecedented conditions, without a seal, without a logo, without commissioners, without finances, without media, but with the Democrats on our side!
The competition we waged between us does nothing but increase the respect and appreciation I have for him, as a colleague, friend and democrat.
I am convinced that, together with Luçiano, with every democrat, we will advance our battle to end Edi Rama's government and to bring to Albania the change that citizens expect and deserve.
Thank you all for your trust!
