7.4 magnitude earthquake strikes Mexico, tsunami alert issued

A powerful earthquake measuring 7.4 on the Richter scale struck off the west coast of Mexico on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicenter was 71 kilometers southwest of Puerto Madero, in the state of Chiapas, at a depth of about 10 kilometers.

The earthquake was also felt in neighboring Guatemala.

A tsunami warning has also been issued by authorities.

Panic has been great, but at the moment there are no reports of casualties, although the tremors are considered extremely powerful and dangerous, with inevitable damage.
