Israel confirms killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar

Israel has confirmed the execution of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. The news was confirmed by Israel's Foreign Minister, Israel Katz.

Earlier, the Israeli army said it was checking the possibility that he was killed, where DNA tests were carried out, skynews writes.

Katz said in a statement that "mass murderer Yahya Sinwar, who was responsible for the massacre and atrocities of October 7, was killed today by IDF soldiers."


He called the death of the Hamas leader a "major military and moral achievement for Israel," as Sinwari was one of the main architects of Hamas' attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, which triggered the war in Gaza.
